WHO WE ARE
Since 2010, Great Scott Music Academy has been providing music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. During this time we have built a reputation on helping our students exceed their music education goals, whatever they may be.
Each day our highly trained professional instructors help their students prepare for admission or scholarship auditions, compose music for a band, or just take steps toward learning basic instrumentation. What sets us apart is we are experts at enhancing our students' skills with FUN, interactive sessions that are tailored to help them achieve their goals.
We move at our students' pace and teach them they want to learn to play. Come play with us!
About the Owner:
John Scott has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, but he excels at streamlining processes, rather than creating new things from scratch. Through Great Scott Business Ventures, he makes use of this skill by acquiring businesses and improving them. His first acquisitions were two music schools, which he turned into a conglomerate that is thriving under his leadership.
At Great Scott Music Academy, clients come in happy and leave happy. Scott sees to this by hiring teachers who exude his values, resisting the urge to micromanage and empowering his team to do their best.
My Successes:
Scott’s first acquisition was a music academy that tripled its business during its first year under his ownership. After acquiring and adding another music school a year later, Great Scott Music Academy has become the largest music school in North Florida.
How SCORE Helped:
SCORE mentor Frances Fisher helped Scott determine how to valuate his business before he purchased it. Fisher, who Scott says is available whenever he has a question or a challenge, is now helping him think through strategic expansion.
